The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is recruiting this fall for the Director’s Financial Analyst position. This unique, two-year rotational fellowship, which will begin during the summer of 2017, sits at the intersection of the federal government and the financial services industry. The fellowship is a full-time position located at the CFPB’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.   Previous Director’s Financial Analysts have used the program as a springboard to further their careers. The Bears for Financial Success program will be open for walk-in appointment hours in 211 Sproul Hall. The Student Information Systems Project ( sisproject.berkeley.edu ) is replacing the current admissions, enrollment, registration, financial aid, student accounts, and advising systems with a modern, nimble and effective vendor-supported system.  A Student Administrative Assistant is needed to assist with tasks as part of the Project Management team. This will include managing tickets that cover every aspect of the SIS Project implementation - from both our internal ticketing system that manages project tasks, and our Help Desk system that includes tickets from students, staff and instructors who need assistance. Cal Students, The "Practice Experience" is a central component of the Minor in which students partner with domestic or international non-governmental or community organizations, government agencies, or other poverty or development programs, on various dimensions of poverty action – from community health and food security to economic justice and grass-roots political power. The combination of the the coursework for the Minor and this real world experience allows students to connect theories and practices of poverty action. Full time internship position still available. Accepting interns currently enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate program with particular interest in the fields of urban planning, urban design, architecture and landscape architecture. Work ranges from infill development to long- range master planning. Interns are given a wide variety of responsibilities and are placed directly on project teams.     The Terner Center for Housing Innovation is an exciting new center at the University of California, Berkeley. A collaboration between the College of Environmental Design (CED) and the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the Haas School of Business, the Terner Center leverages applied research to inform and advance innovation in the planning, financing, design and development of the built environment. Research tasks include, but are not limited to: contacting city government offices, collecting data, developing graphs and charts, inputting and cleaning survey data, and transcribing interviews. Each year, for hundreds of women in the United Republic of Tanzania, a positive diagnosis for cervical or breast cancer is followed by an impossible decision: travel to a far-away hospital for treatment and face the possibility of unsafe or unaffordable lodging, or stay at home and succumb to cancer. To ease this burden, Pink Ribbon Red Ribbon®, a global partnership fighting women’s cancers, the American Cancer Society (ACS), the George W. Bush Institute, HKS, Inc., Southern Methodist University (SMU), and T-MARC Tanzania have launched an international competition to solicit designs for two “home-away-from-homes” for these women in Tanzania. Description: The Institute of International Studies (IIS) Undergraduate Merit Scholarship supports undergraduate research in any area of international studies. Research may be conducted independently, in congruence with an honors thesis, or while studying abroad. Application Details: 
Applicants must submit a one-page research proposal and unofficial transcript. A letter of recommendation from a GSI or faculty member must be emailed directly to iis.grants@berkeley.edu . The Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations (FMO) team of the ASUC Student Union is looking for 1-2 Facilities Specialists work-study* students. The Facilities Team provides operational support and planning assistance to numerous spaces on campus, including the newly-renovated MLK Student Union and rebuilt Eshleman Hall. The Facilities Specialists will support 3 career staff with project management, planning, and evaluation of these spaces while getting a firsthand look at the full reopening of Lower Sproul after more than 5 years of planning and construction.
