Dear Friends, Imagine a world where beautiful music emanates from Hertz Hall all day long, Lower Sproul Plaza comes alive with the sounds of Brazilian jazz, Zellerbach Hall is filled with the rich sights and sounds of cultures from around the world, and the thrilling sound of the Cal Band reverberates across campus, captivating all within its earshot as student vocal ensembles treat one and all to impromptu outdoor performances. Fall Free for All is this world, a variety of music, dance, and theater performances spread across the UC Berkeley campus so that students and faculty, and the surrounding community alike, can come together to enjoy a full day devoted to the wonder of the performing arts. The Mission Cultural Center's New Showcase "Space Through Gender" Features the Emerging Influence of Latin American Women in Architecture

Space Through Gender Opening Reception: August 29, 6:30-9:30 pm / $5 suggested donation August 25 - September 28 / Gallery Featuring the distinct viewpoints of 10 women from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. Space Through Gender showcases the emerging generation of influential Latin American women in architecture. Presented through 3D models, photographs, videos, drawings, and installation, the exhibition seeks to introduce the significant role of Latin American women in contemporary design and architecture.
