New Architecture Startup: Archie, Check it out!
A young web startup ( theArchie.com ) founded by architecture students, and dedicated to the exchange of ideas, collaboration between students, teachers and architects, and looking for apprenticeships and work opportunities for the users of our site. theArchie.com organizes architecture and design contests for students and young professionals, in order to give them the chance of confronting a design project for themselves. It is good for students to apply what they know to a project that is closer to reality, rather than the theoretical approach which is often far removed from it. The competition will be judged by renowned architects, and rewarded with prize-money. Furthermore, the website will offer the possibility for students to upload their personal work and portfolio, where architects might see it and offer them placement.
