Graduation Gown Lending Project Spring 2017 Application Open

Dear Community, We hope this email finds you well. We are pleased to announce that the EOP Graduation Gown Lending Project Spring 2017 application is now open!.  This project is intended to serve all EOP students at UC Berkeley by providing a cap and gown free of charge. Graduation can be an exciting moment for students, but the cost of purchasing a cap and gown can come as a burden and impede them from fully enjoying their academic achievement. Students are encouraged to  apply  once the application opens due to the limited amount of gowns available, however there is over 500 gowns in our inventory to distribute.  In order to qualify, a student must either be 1) Low-income and/or 2) First Generation and/or 3) Historically Underrepresented. Markowski-Leach Scholarship applications

Consider applying to the Markowski-Leach Scholarship for the 2017-18 academic year.  The scholarship is for LGBTQ incoming, undergraduate, and graduate full-time students at UC Berkeley, UCSF, San Francisco State University, Stanford University, and (pending) UC Hastings.  Awards are $2,000 per year for up to two years before reapplication is necessary.  The application deadline is Friday April 14th.  More information and the on-line application can be found at:
