CED's Diversity Platforms Committee announces the 2nd Call for Proposals

The College of Environmental Design’s Diversity Platforms Committee (DPC) is pleased to announce the 2nd Call for Proposals for funding to mount activities that promote and enhance the critical examination of the intersections between race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, power and privilege, poverty and inequality, restorative justice, and other aspects of human identity and relations within the built environment. Proposals for the categories noted below may be submitted by CED faculty, students (one student cannot be part of multiple proposals) and staff as individuals or teams representing CED organizations, student groups, degree programs, or departments. 2015 Scholarship Opportunities

The San Francisco Construction Specifications Institute Foundation, Inc. proudly offers scholarships to sophomore or above college students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above and enrolled in a school of architecture, design, engineering, or construction in California. Eligible students must have declared a major of Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Design, Landscape Architecture or a construction industry profession. Scholarships for eligible applicants may be as much as $4,000.00, but not less than $1,000.00, at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee based on funds available. Jacobs Hall Survey on Design Spaces

Jacobs hall is a new building that will hold design studios and equipment, located next to soda hall on northside. A team of students and professors is gaining feedback on what students are most in need of on campus in terms of design spaces and equipment, and ask that anyone interested in design fill out this survey.

Applications are now available for the Fall 2013-Spring 2014 CED Admissions Ambassador Internship cohort. Share your experience, passion, and expertise of being a student in the CED Reach out to prospective high school and community college students.
