Berkeley Hyperloop is searching for driven graduate and undergraduate students to join our team and develop technology at the cutting edge of aerodynamics, safety, and clean transportation. If you haven't heard of Hyperloop, it is an idea pioneered by Elon Musk; effectively a levitating bullet train capable of traveling at 750mph.  Jacobs Institute is hiring a talented undergraduate student to join team as Storytelling Assistant. The Storytelling Assistant will help build out creative modes of telling stories from the design ecosystem, with responsibilities including identifying compelling stories; proposing and producing student/project spotlights; creating multimedia projects; and producing content for web, social media, and/or print. Description: The Institute of International Studies (IIS) Undergraduate Merit Scholarship supports undergraduate research in any area of international studies. Research may be conducted independently, in congruence with an honors thesis, or while studying abroad. Application Details:

This competition challenges participants to visualize a systemic food, energy, or water infrastructure problem and its consequences, as well as realistic opportunities for intervention, including a prototype of one or more of their strategies that could be realized within the next 12 months. AECOM will make available $25,000 of cash and in-kind staff time to support the implementation of the prototype. Three short-listed teams will be invited to present their proposals before an interdisciplinary panel at the A+D Museum in Los Angeles in October 2015. Urban SOS: All Systems Go jurors will award $15,000 in prizes, which may be divided among one or more teams. The UC Berkeley program accepts students in the humanities and social sciences (please see our MMUF website for specific majors and Mellon designated fields of study). As an undergraduate Mellon Fellow, benefits include academic year stipends of $3,600, two summer stipends of $3,900, travel and research grants, GRE preparation assistance, and up to $10,000 of undergraduate loan repayment. We are now accepting 2015-16 academic year applications for the Markowski-Leach Scholarship. The award is for eligible LGBT entering, undergraduate, and graduate students at UC Berkeley, Stanford, San Francisco State, and UCSF.
