Lisa Kernan Social Justice Fellowship

 Uniting research, analysis, and advocacy to change the world! We are currently accepting applications for the Lisa Kernan Social Justice Fellows Program to honor the life and work of Lisa Devereux Kernan. Fellowships will be provided for a four week Program in the late Spring to early Summer 2014 to two outstanding students with a demonstrated commitment to social justice.  Due date for application: April 7, 2014. Fellows will receive a stipend of $1,000 for the Program.  Examples of projects on which Kernan Fellows may work include:  • CPATH Trade and Health Project examining proposals regarding access to public health, tobacco control, essential medicines, and related issues in pending trade agreements, including the Trans Pacific Partnership. Haas Institute 2014 General Summer Fellowship and Law Summer Fellowship Program

General fellows and law fellows will work on a wide range of projects relating to marginalized groups and social cleavages including disability, LGBTQ, race, religion, socio-economic disparities, and the new and emerging research on the global north/global south relations. The General Summer Fellowship Program 2014 will take place from May 20th to August 15th, 2014. All undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who are interested in social and racial justice are welcome to apply. Applications are due on March 1st, 2014 . The Law Summer Fellowship Program 2014 will take place from May 12th to August 8th, 2014. Students who are in the process of obtaining their JD degree and are interested in social justice and public interest are welcome to apply. Applications are due on February 20th, 2014.
