Scholarship Opportunity – Urban Transformation in Colombia 2020

For our 2020  Urban Transformation  course, offered by Red Tree Study in partnership with Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) in Medellin, we are delighted to announce that we have a full scholarship, to the value of $2,550 USD, as well as several smaller travel bursaries. This scholarship funds participation in our two-week academic summer course taught by the RIBA-Accredited Architecture School at Pontificia Universidad Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia. Medellin, the birthplace of ‘social urbanism’, was once one of the world’s most dangerous cities, yet is now famous for its pioneering innovative urban projects that have transformed the lives of many of its citizens. It provides a perfect case study for students. The course combines lectures and seminars on campus with site visits and workshops that deliver practical knowledge of the city.
