The Demography department is pleased announce a new scholarship opportunity for student who have a vested interest in pursuing an advance degree in the social and health sciences . Advancing Diversity in Age research (CAL-ADAR) invites applications for a three semester research opportunity for undergraduate students (rising juniors or seniors) in the health and social sciences. CAL-ADAR seeks to prepare talented and motivated underrepresented students from racially and ethnically diverse backgrounds, or those with a proven commitment to diversity and to eradicating racial disparities in graduate school and the academy, for graduate study in fields in the health and social sciences. The program provides students with a rigorous research experience under the guidance of a UCB faculty or graduate student mentor, and a minor that will provided them a technical skill to conduct research.
