Dear Community! The Multicultural Immigrant Student Program (MISP) is looking for new interns for the academic year of 2013-2014! MISP is a program created through collaboration with the Chican@ Latin@ Student Development and the Asian Pacific American Student Development Offices. The interns work on different projects each year to create programming, events, organizations, and more in order to help and empower immigrant and AB 540/undocumented students on campus. Projects vary vastly and we welcome all kinds of work and creativity. Previous projects have included initiating and organizing the AB 540/Undocumented Students Coalition which composes of staff, faculty, and students interested in advancing the status of these students. MISP has also created and facilitated an immigration DeCal in the past which now has become a field studies class available for students to take through the Ethnic Studies Department on campus. Student Alumni Relations Council would like to congratulate Cal seniors on graduating! They've worked hard for their degrees, and we would like to celebrate with them at The Last Grrr-rah, a catered "party" event for graduating seniors and young alumni, as a way of unofficially welcoming them to the young alumni family. Because graduation is coming up, the Student Technology Council would like to reach our seniors to take advantage of downloading free and useful resources such as Adobe and Microsoft software (along with other programs, such as an upgrade to Windows 8), that they will not be able to access for free once they graduate. There is an opportunity for either one or a team of Architecture Students to win financial prizes (1st place: $3000, 2nd place: $1500) for the completion of a project to graphically portray <with critical-engineered accuracy> a city block in downtown San Diego.
