Gender Dynamics in Architecture Schools

On behalf of Equality in Design (EiD), a student group at the Yale School of Architecture. EiD is currently organizing an exhibition about gender dynamics in architecture schools that will open at Yale in October, and for this show we are seeking student opinions from institutions around the world.

To assess the issue comprehensively, we are seeking responses to two surveys by September 15

The first survey is meant for all students of architecture (current or former), compiling their subjective opinions on life at their schools. We would like this survey to be filled out by as many as students as possible. It is available at aseat.org so if you could forward this link to your student body we would appreciate it greatly.

The second survey is meant to be completed by a representative of the school, in order to gain a more objective understanding of the institution. The representative may be a student or student group, a member of the faculty or the administrative staff. This survey takes longer as certain numbers will need to be looked up, so we would appreciate it if you or someone you know could fill it out to the best of your/their ability.

The names of schools will be part of the exhibition but all students will remain anonymous.
