Pre-Doctoral Workshop for Students of Color - Application to Attend

I am pleased to announce that USC has partnered with ACSP to host the first summer pre-doctoral workshop for students of color. This effort is designed to enhance the diversity of students who are pursuing Ph.D. degrees in planning. The workshop is planning focused, and our goal is to attract and
recruit the most talented students from groups that have been under-represented on planning faculties.

The faculty for this workshop is a star-studded group, including Ed Blakely, Catherine Ross, Manuel Pastor, Raphael Bostic, Dan Rodriguez, Lisa Schweitzer, and Lois Takahashi -- to name just a few. The full faculty list is available on the web page for the workshop.
Our primary audience for this workhshop is masters students who have the aptitude and desire to pursue a Ph.D. Please pass along this flyer and the application form to your best masters students from under-represented groups. (Those groups are listed on the flyer and on the web page.) We are
open to students from other paths -- other masters degrees, exceptional undergraduates, and of course persons who are not currently in school but who are strong candidates for doctoral planning education.
Please note that our application deadline is April 26, and applications should be emailed to Julie Kim at juliethk@usc.edu. I am happy to answer any questions.
