Join the EOP/USP Intake Internship!

Join the EOP/USP Intake Internship to learn how to effectively serve the needs of low-income, first-generation, and historically underrepresented students!
Role of the Student Intake:
The intake office is the hub of the Educational Opportunity Program which supports first-generation, low income, and underrepresented students at the UC Berkeley campus. The student intake staff are the first point of contact when students come into the office. It is through this position that students, faculty, and staff form their impression of EOP/USP and the work that we do. Therefore, they must represent the department in a professional manner while maintaining an ever-important personal approach. Student Intakes are well-informed, professional, welcoming, and efficient in order to enhance student’s academic performance and assist in their journey at Berkeley.
As an intern you will:
  • participate in weekly training seminars that critically examine advising needs of EOP/USP students while building professional and interpersonal skills
  • coordinate special projects throughout the Spring semester working closely with EOP & USP counselors
  • learn from academic counselors and manage their schedules
  • work a minimum of 6 hrs/week for 0,1, or 2 units on a P/NP basis
The application is due December 4th @ 11:59pm
