Designing Your First Portfolio workshops

Did you miss the last Designing Your First Portfolio workshop offered at Jacobs Hall? You're in luck, because it will be offered a few more times this semester. Below is information about the March workshop; check the Jacobs website or Facebook for information about the April workshops.

Designing Your First Portfolio
Mondays 3/4, 3/11, 3/18 6-8pm in the Design Lounge (10C Jacobs)

Having a great portfolio is key to landing a job in the design profession. This intensive, three-part workshop aims to help get a student's portfolio off the ground by showing good and bad examples, strategies on creating impressions for reviewers, and a step-by-step guide on how to put one's first portfolio together. We'll review/critique student portfolios together as a way to learn and build upon each other's work. Students will receive 1:1 feedback on how to refine and push their portfolios past the first finish line.

Interested students must submit a brief application, which will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The workshop is free and open to students from all majors who are interested in creating a portfolio; students enrolled in the Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation are particularly encouraged to apply.
