Research Participants Requested

My name is Alonzo Lamas, a graduate student in Clinical Psychology at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. I am conducting research on Latino male students and how they adjust to the college environment at UC Berkeley. Through a series of brief questionnaires, I will be investigating the overall experience and adjustment of Latino male undergraduates.

I am reaching out to MEXASB in assisting me on this project. I invite you to help me spread the word to your members, in the service of contributing to valuable research that could improve services to Latino students on campus.

As a Latino myself, I am very aware of the current political climate and the importance of privacy. As such, I am especially sensitive to confidential and/or identifying information, and will ensure any information gathered will not be linked to your members personally. That is, names or any other contact information will not be obtained during the study, and all data gathered will be assigned a unique code per participant.

If you or any of your members meet the criteria (see flyer click here), I would greatly appreciate your participation in this research. If you or any of your members have further questions I could be reached me at or my dissertation chair, Dr. Allison Briscoe-Smith, may be reached at
