Behind the Professor's Lectern Event

Behind the Professor’s Lectern is an interactive Graham Norton-styled chat that
takes undergraduates behind the professor’s lectern while creating audience participation opportunities to examine the unseen process behind the work of their instructors while celebrating the love and passion that motivates their professors’ disciplinary accomplishments. Specifically, professors will share stories of how they came to be who they are today, including tales of their early experiences that have led to their enthusiasm in pursuing research, teaching, and public service in their fields. By going behind the lectern, we hope the discussion will strengthen approaches to navigating our disciplines and reaffirm our love and passion for whatever we hope to pursue here at Cal.

Behind the Professor’s Lectern is organized through a partnership between the Student Learning Center (SLC), the Office of Undergraduate Research, and Scholarships (OURS), and American Cultures (AC).

This event is on March 16, 2018 (Friday) from 5pm-7pm, at the Cesar Chavez Center Atrium.   Refreshments will be provided.
