John Gardner Fellowship with Institute of Governmental Studies
The John Gardner Fellowship selects three Fellows from UC Berkeley and provides each a $32,000 stipend to work in the governmental agency or nonprofit organization that most closely fits their public sector interests. This Fellowship is for graduating seniors (December 2017 or May 2018).
Past fellows have been placed at the Human Rights Watch, the World Wildlife Fund, and the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center. Fellows are matched with a senior-level mentor during their 10-month fellowship. The goal of the John Gardner Fellowship is to encourage UC Berkeley’s best students to pursue a career in public service.
