Volunteer Opportunity for Students

Leah Farkas is a lead researcher working on a project aimed at measuring volunteerism inside the California state-run prison system. The project is funded with federal grant money through CaliforniaVolunteers, Office of the Governor. They are looking for several student volunteers to help with data entry over the next month or so. The work will be completed at the CaliforniaVolunteers office located in downtown Sacramento across from the Capitol. They are asking for a 6 hour minimum commitment from each student volunteer to be completed in one or two sessions. There is also an opportunity for up to 40 hours of volunteering per student.

Please note that volunteers will need to fill out and sign some standard paperwork at the beginning of their first shift. Volunteer shifts open April 1st and will run through at least the end of April with additional possible opportunities in May depending on work load.

Please contact Leah directly at 530-848-7020 to schedule their shifts. Of course, please feel free to reach out for any questions at anytime.

Thank you in advance for you time and efforts.
