Summer Abroad opportunities!!!!

Note: UC Berkeley students can request a ninth unit of 199 credit to qualify for financial aid.

Spain, Housing and Urbanism in Barcelona
Courses: Community and Regional Development & 198 or Landscape Architecture 191 & 198
Discover the many lessons we can take home from Barcelona on housing development and neighborhood regeneration efforts.

Ecuador, Sustainable Ecuador—From the Andes to the Amazon
Courses: Native American Studies (NAS) 120 & 198 (Graduate course option: NAS 202 & 298)
Work alongside indigenous Amazonians while examining their historical development and current initiatives to save the Amazon rainforest from exploitation.

Explore the complexity of Atitlan lake and watershed ecological processes and their connections to social and political realities.

Courses: Design (DES) 187 & 198
Journey through two European countries famous for their trend setting historical and contemporary art, architecture and design.

Learn the principles of design for sustainability and their applications within the built environment of dynamic downtown Tokyo.

Courses: Spanish 143 & 198 (Taught in English)
Travel to the most emblematic artistic cities of Spain—Burgos, Madrid, Salamanca, Bilbao, and Santander.
