The Classic Myths (Classics 28) --- L&S Breadth: Arts and Lit/Philosophy and Values

The class will introduce students to Classical Mythology in its ancient context. Students will encounter famous myths, like the Trojan War and the story of Oedipus, and read some fantastic works of Greek and Latin literature. A big part of the course will look at the afterlife of these myths in European and American culture, so students of more recent societies should find something that connects with their interests!
  • The class meets MWF 1-2pm (+1 section).
  • The requirements are participation, three exams and a final myth-telling project.
