2014 SMART Program Description:
Student Mentoring and Research Teams (SMART) is a summer program designed to encourage graduate student professional development and foster undergraduate research through mentoring. Approximately twenty doctoral student mentors from a variety of academic disciplines and twenty undergraduate mentees (from any campus academic department or program) will be selected.

Each graduate participant will receive a summer stipend of $5,000 and each undergraduate participant will receive funding as a Student Assistant in the amount of $3,500. Each project will receive up to $1,500 in funding for research expenses outlined in the project proposal budget.

Application Deadline: Friday, February 28, 2014, by 4 p.m.
