Health Policy Advocacy In Action Group Study

Mondays 2-4 pm, 256 University Hall

This group study will provide students with practical advocacy experience and opportunities to work with local organizations to address public health and social justice issues. Students will broaden and deepen their advocacy skills and knowledge and gain exposure in advocacy specific jobs and career paths. Action-learning placement is a required component of the group study. Past Action-learning placements have included projects with Insure the Uninsured Project (ITUP), PolicyLink, California Food and Justice Coalition, The California Center for Public Health Advocacy, The Greenlining Institute.
