Website Intern Needed for CRRS

Campus Recycling and Refuse Services (CRRS) coordinates composting, recycling, and landfill streams on campus. In addition to this capacity, CRRS is also home to two student groups- ReUSE and the Compost Alliance. CRRS recently received a grant to pay for an intern to redo the department’s website, integrating sub-sites for the Compost Alliance and ReUSE.

The Web Design Intern will:
1.      Work closely with CRRS staff and students to redevelop the CRRS website (recycle.berkeley.edu)
2.      Update the CRRS website
 Logistics:
1.      The Web Design Intern will work from August 2012 to December 2012 with limited work during school holidays
2.      $12/hour
3.      Expected hours: 5 hours per week for 19 weeks
 Required Qualifications:
1.      Students must be self-motivated, organized, and professional
2.      Excellent written and oral communication skills
3.      Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
4.     Able to elicit and understand others' ideas for website design and development and to complete work by following these ideas and goals quickly.
Required Computer Skills: 
            1. Microsoft Works: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
            2. Web Design (Must be very proficient in Dreamweaver)  
            3. Adobe: Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, Illustrator, etc.
